2009-2012, Acre Theatre Festival, Acre
Screening Theatre was a Jewish-Arab youth group in the city of Acre, northern Israel which I founded, directed and run between 2009-2012.
It involved two school, the Jewish Gordon school and the Arab Al’Amal school, and was directed in collaboration with the schools’ directors and the city’s education department.
The project ran weekly meetings throughout the year, which culminated in a performance in the Acre fringe Theatre festival.
Around 200 children age 9-14 participated in the program in the three years it existed.
Funded by the city of Acre, the Israeli Ministry of Culture and the National Lottery.
